Description
No. 53 London Road is an early 19th-century house made of brick, topped with a Swithland slate roof. It stands three stories tall and features three bays. The central entrance has a door with a lozenge-shaped overlight and a shallow porch with paired panelled outer doors. On either side of the doorway are wide 16-light sash windows with stuccoed heads that include keystones. The first floor has similar windows, with 12 lights above the door. The attic lights are proportionately lower. The house also has a moulded wood eaves cornice and gable end stacks.
