Description

This is a house, dated 1692 on a small oval plaque. A 19th-century extension was added to the left. The house is timber-framed, sitting on a high rubble stone base. The infill panels are rectangular and rendered on the front, with some brick in the right gable end and to the rear. It has a thatched roof and a central brick chimney. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor front has wooden casements; the left one is a 4-light C20 window with glazing bars, and the right one is a 3-light window. The first floor has 2-light horizontal sash windows to the left, and a 3-light window to the right, along with traces of an older window with narrowly spaced wooden mullions. Curved principal trusses are inset into the gable ends. The 19th-century brick extension to the left has a thatched roof, a 3-light horizontal sash window, and a door on the ground floor. Inside, there are winder stairs at the right end and in line with the central chimney. A notable feature is the stop-chamfered spine beam.
