Description
The building is a disused village bakehouse located at the rear of Number 10 on Long Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a Swithland slate roof that was renewed in the 20th century. The structure is single-storey. On the left side, there are blind walls of a large oven, while the right bay contains horizontal sash windows with segmental arches made of header bricks. The front window has two lights and is boarded up, while the rear window has three lights. There is a 20th-century door to the right with a flat brick head. Inside, the large oven remains intact and has a wide low dome, with a stoking door below and a small oven opening to the right. There is also an altered copper to the left, but all proving racks have been removed.
