Description
This small barn, located approximately 10 metres south of Old Hall Farmhouse, is now used as a cattle shed. It likely originated in the 16th century and features cruck construction, although it has been extensively rebuilt in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is rebuilt in brick, with a cruck truss partially exposed on the left gable. The roof is made of 20th-century corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of four bays, with a 20th-century two-light window on the left, a stable door in the second bay, and two slatted windows in the third bay, while the right bays are open to the front. There are three cruck trusses in total, with one truncated at collar level. Some ties and collars are missing, and there is a post and tie-beam frame at the right end. The roof structure is entirely from the 20th century.
