Description
Nos 90 and 92 on Market Street are two adjoining buildings with distinct architectural features. No 90 has an early 19th-century facade that is rendered and colorwashed, topped with a slate roof that shows the stump of an old plastered chimney on the ridge. This building is three stories tall and has two sash windows with late 19th-century glazing. The shop front has been altered in the 19th century, featuring a cornice, architrave, and pilasters, with a central door. There is also an entrance to the former Court 18 located between this building and No 92.
No 92 has a painted brick facade and a modern tiled roof, with a 17th-century chimney visible behind the ridge, which is lower than that of No 90. This building is also three stories tall but has only one sash window with late 19th-century glazing. Its shop front is modern, and timber framing can be seen at the rear.
