These are two late 18th/early 19th century shops, now used as separate retail premises. The western property, number 83, has a modern rendered front facade, with a brick eaves cornice and a slate roof. It is three storeys high and has one window per floor. The top floor has a sash window with late 19th-century glazing, the first floor window is modern, and the ground floor has a modern shop front. The eastern property, number 85, features a red brick facade with a horizontal band at second-floor level and a brick eaves cornice, topped with a slate roof. This building is also three storeys high with one window per floor. It has an unbarred sash window on the second floor, a modern window on the first floor, and a 19th-century shop front on the ground floor, which includes a cornice, end stops, and pilasters, with modern glazing.
