Description

The former stables at the Queen's Head Inn date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. It has two storeys and three upper windows, which are barred sashes. On the western side, the ground floor includes large wooden doors set beneath a large segmental arch. The eastern side has a carriageway arch leading to the rear. The courtyard at the back of the inn is paved with granite setts, which extend under the archways to Market Street and under the eastern archway of the rear stables.
