Description
There are four lamp posts located between Church Terrace and St Mary's Parish Church, along the southern path through the churchyard. These lamp posts date from the 19th century and are made of cast iron, each labeled 'Wrights Foundry Co Ltd Leicester'. They feature a polygonal plinth that supports a fluted shaft with a foliated bulbous foot. The lamps have a top bar and circular designs, although the circular lamps may be modern.
These lamp posts are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 7 Church Terrace, a small building in the north-west angle, the Gregory and Hughs Tomb, additional lamps in the churchyard, a building to the east of No 13 Church Street, No 18 Church Street, and the western workshop and garden wall at No 18, as well as the Parish Church. The small building in the north-west angle, No 2, and the western workshop and garden wall at No 18 are noted as items of local interest.
