Description

The Old Bakehouse is a house dated 1773, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The building has a 3-unit lobby-entry plan and is two stories tall with a three-window range. A 20th-century door is located to the right of the center and has a segmental-arched head. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with similar heads, while the first floor features two-light casements with wooden lintels. There is a storey band and stepped brick eaves with projecting headers at the middle course. Above the door, there is a painted datestone inscribed with "F.A./1773." Inside, the house is noted for having chamfered spine beams.
