Description

This chest tomb, made of red sandstone, is located approximately 11 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary in Nether Broughton. It features slate inscription plaques and has a tapering shape with trumpet fluting at the corners. The inscription panel commemorates Mary Clarke, who died in 1829, and is signed by Collingwood Grantham.
