Description
Manor Farmhouse and the adjoining stable are a farmhouse and stable built in the late 17th century and 19th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared ironstone with limestone dressings and have slate roofs. The building features a chamfered plinth, a moulded first floor band, and coped gables with kneelers, along with three brick gable stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays.
The east front has a central reeded doorcase with curved brackets that support a flat hood, leading to a 19th-century half-glazed double door. This door is flanked by single three-light mullioned casements that have moulded mullions and surrounds with flat hoods. Above, there are three similar mullioned casements, all of which have 19th-century glazing.
On the south side, there is an off-centre reeded doorcase with a panelled door and fanlight, accompanied on the left by a mullioned casement. To the right, there is a gabled wing with a mullioned casement. To the left, there is a two-storey 19th-century stable with three bays and two casements. The rear elevation features a 19th-century two-storey gabled addition at the return angle, with a mullioned casement above to the right. There is also a 19th-century single-storey addition and farm buildings nearby, but these are not included in this listing.
