Description
The United Reformed Church is an early 19th century building, though it has an earlier foundation. The main facade faces south and is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof. The church has two storeys and features three windows, with the central bay projecting forward. The first-floor windows are round arched sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are three doors; the outer doors are round arched and have solid tympana, while the doors consist of six raised and fielded panels, with the center door being double.
The side facade facing Chapel Street has three windows, which are round arched on the first floor and have gauged flat brick arches below, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. At the rear, there is a schoolroom that has three storeys, with the top storey added later. This section generally has four windows that are irregularly placed and are sashes with glazing bars. There are also double doors with a total of six panels.
