Description
The Methodist Church, built in the mid-19th century, is constructed of red brick with a purple brick plinth, pilaster quoins, and window and door dressings featuring hood moulds. It has a dentilled moulded cornice supported by corbel brackets and a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high with a garret and has a two-window front that is slightly shifted to the left. The windows are Gothic-glazed casements made of cast iron, set in dressed round-arched surrounds with key blocks and hood moulds. To the right of each window bay are two doorways; the left doorway is blocked, while the right features a four-panelled door. Both doorways have round-arched surrounds, decorated fanlights, and steeply gabled hoods topped with roll-mouldings that bear inscribed crosses. The interior consists of a very small church on the ground floor.
