Description

Church Farmhouse is an early 18th-century house with alterations and an addition from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with stucco dressings, and has a plain tiled roof with two wall stacks and a single gable stack. The original four-bay, three-storey block has a stone plinth, stucco bands to the first and second floors, and a moulded parapet. Mullioned and transomed windows with small panes are arranged in groups of four on each floor, each with flat wedge brick arches and keystones. An ashlar panel sits between the first-floor central windows. A lower, three-storey, two-bay wing with a slate roof and dog-toothed eaves is attached to the left. A half-glazed 19th-century door is centrally positioned, above which are two-light casements. The left bay features a single three-light casement on each floor.
