Description

Ashleigh is a house built in the early 19th century. It features a plastered exterior with boxed wooden eaves and a slate roof that has end stacks. The building is two and a half storeys high and has a regular three-window front, with glazing bar sashes. The ground floor windows have rusticated plastered heads, and the outer windows are wider than the central ones. The entrance is marked by a central four-panelled door topped with a wreathed and radiating fanlight. This door is framed by a moulded round-arched surround that includes a keyblock, fluted pilasters, and a deep open pediment supported by reeded curved brackets. To the right of the door, there is a cast-iron footscraper.
