Description
Manor House Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-unit plan. There is a 19th-century brick outshut on the street facade and an original outshot staircase projection at the rear. The house is oriented away from the street, and the rear elevation includes one blocked door to the right and a three-light casement window with a flat timber lintel on each floor.
The eastern gable wall has a tier of windows, featuring four-light caveto moulded stone mullions on the ground and first floors with flat hoodmoulds, and a two-light wood casement in the attic. The rear elevation has a doorway to the right with a 19th-century brick arched head and a 19th-century window to its left, along with another later doorway beyond. The staircase projection contains a three-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned window. The house has a stone base for the axial stack and brick stacks on the gables. Inside, there are chamfered beams and at least part of the original staircase remains, featuring simple newels with ball finials and a moulded rail. The turned balusters may have been added later.
