Description

Ivy House is a house that features external details from the later 18th century but likely has a core dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed from well-coursed ironstone rubble and has a hipped bellcast roof covered with Welsh slate. The building is two storeys tall and has an L-shaped plan, with a doorway located in the inner angle of a projecting wing, which is sheltered by a new porch. Each floor of the gable end and the main range has a three-light wood mullioned window, all of which are adorned with stone architraves and moulded keystones. Inside, there are some Regency details, including a doorcase with a lugged architrave and two moulded wood alcoves.
