Description
No. 25 Church Street is a house that dates mainly from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with some alterations and additions made in the early 19th century. The main structure is built of ironstone rubble and features a heightened roof covered with plain tiles. It has two storeys and a two-unit plan with a side entry.
On the right side, there are three-light casement windows on both floors, which have recently been renewed and include metal glazing bars. To the left, there is a large triple-light sash window on the ground floor, with a tall 16-light sash window directly above it, and a 9-light sash window further left. The house has two axial stacks and quoins at the right-hand angle.
The west side elevation is rendered and includes a doorway on the left, along with ornate metal glazing on the windows: one on the ground floor, two above, and one in the attic, all featuring round-headed lights with margin lights. There is also an additional similar window in a flat-roofed extension to the left.
