Description

This is an early 18th-century house located on the west side of Main Street, Bruntingthorpe. It is originally a two-unit, two-storey building, though a third bay is now incorporated into the adjacent property. The house is built of painted brick, set upon a cobble plinth, and has a Welsh slate roof. The front features a central six-panelled door and renewed casement windows within openings that retain cambered brick heads. The first floor has two-light casements with flat lintels. A brick sill band runs horizontally across the facade. There is a gable and an axial brick stack which functions as a baffle entry. The roof is very steeply pitched and was likely originally thatched.
