Description
Welham Lodge is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brick and topped with a Swithland slate roof. The building is three storeys high and features a symmetrical facade with three bays. A distinctive large projecting canted porch with an ashlar parapet surrounds the central door. The doorway is adorned with a decorated fanlight set within a round archway, which is made of brick with stone springers and a key.
The flanking windows are 12-light sash windows, while the first-floor windows are also sash, consisting of 15-lights for the outer windows and 12-lights above the doorway. All of these windows have stone sills and cambered brick heads. The lower attic windows are sashed, featuring 16 and 8-lights, and are long and low in proportion, also with stone sills. The building has gable end stacks. To the right, there is a single bay addition that includes one upper 2-light casement window. Additionally, there is an added outshut and a lower range at the rear.
