Description

Manor Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof and a central ridge stack. The building has an ironstone rubble plinth with brick coping and a dentilled eaves cornice. A three-course brick band runs along the first floor. The house follows a lobby-entry plan. The south front has two and a half storeys and three bays. The central doorway is topped by a cambered arch with a keystone, and it contains a 20th-century part-glazed four-panel door with a blocked overlight. To the left and right of the door are single three-light casements, each topped with a cambered arch. Above these, there are two similar windows. Above those again are two two-light casements with wooden lintels.
