Description

Nos. 11-21 on Hog Lane is a row of six cottages that were originally built as almshouses in 1842. The cottages are constructed of brick and feature a hipped Welsh slate roof. They appear as a single building and are two storeys high, with a central projecting gable that has a pediment. This gable contains two 2-light casement windows on each floor, along with a date stone at the apex. Each cottage is a separate unit, with an outer door and two inner 2-light casement windows. All openings are framed with chamfered brickwork, and most of the windows have lattice work glazing bars and brick hood moulds. The cottages also have axial stacks.
