Description

A row of eight cottages, originally nine or ten, was built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of roughly-layered ironstone rubble with stone-tiled roofs. They are two stories high and now typically serve as single or double units, implying some were once two separate dwellings. The cottages share similar detailing, with windows containing one or two casements. However, the three cottages furthest to the west may be slightly older, evidenced by a break in the build and the presence of flat timber lintels over all openings; the remaining cottages have rendered brick heads above their windows. Axial and gable-end stacks are present.
