Description

Hill Close is a small house, primarily dating from the early 19th century, with some elements from the 18th century. The building is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof, although an earlier bay is built of coursed ironstone rubble. The brick section is composed of three units, with a single bay to the left of the doorway being a later addition, featuring a two-light horizontal sliding sash window on each floor. Further to the right is a larger three-light window and a smaller two-light window, both horizontally sliding sashes. All lower openings have cambered brick heads. The upper windows are also sliding sashes. The right-hand bay is of earlier date and built with ironstone, including a single three-light casement window on the first floor. A long outshut extends to the rear, featuring a three-light casement window with a flat timber lintel, as well as a doorway. Gable and axial stacks are present.
