Description
Cornclose Farmhouse and Barn is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is rendered over ironstone rubble and features a low pitched Swithland slate roof with limestone quoins. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of six bays. The doorway is located to the left of centre and features a six-panelled door set in a case with console brackets. There are two windows to the left of the door and three to the right, all of which are 12-light sashes, although one has been renewed. The upper windows are similar in style. The attic storey has blind openings that are of lesser height. The house has axial and right-hand gable stacks. Adjoining to the left is a range of barns, which have ironstone rubble on the ground floor and brick above. The barn features double doors to the right, followed by a single door, a ventilation slit, and a window with a flat arched brick head. There is a diamond vent on the first floor and two new casement windows.
