Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a house that dates largely from the 18th century, with an earlier core. It features a mix of partially ironstone rubble and some brickwork, and has a new roof. The building is two storeys high and has a four-unit plan, with the right-hand bay being a later addition. The three left-hand units are constructed of ironstone rubble up to lintel height, with brick above. There are two renewed 2-light casement windows to the left of the doorway and one to the right, all featuring cambered brick heads. The upper windows have also been renewed, and there is a blind window above the door. A brick band runs along the building, and there is a gable and axial stack that forms a baffle entry. The right-hand bay has an ironstone plinth but is mostly brick, with renewed 3-light casement windows on each floor.
