Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on the west side of Main Street in Cossington. It is constructed of red brick with a Swithland slate roof and brick end stacks, each featuring two octagonal flues. The building is in a Tudor style, with hood moulds above the ground-floor openings. The first-floor windows have ornamental brick frames, a narrow moulded band above, and a parapet. The front facade has two storeys and three casement windows. A central door is flanked by two-light casements, with a two-light casement above each. Each window and the door is framed by a Tudor arch. The casements have small panes of glass. The section of the wall containing the two-light casements projects slightly forward.
