Description
The Mill and Mill House, built around 1825, consists of a house and an adjoining mill. The house, located on the right, is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof. It has three storeys and three bays, with a central door that is sheltered by a wooden canopied porch added in 1935. On either side of the door, there are triple light sash windows. The upper windows are also sash style, with the outer windows consisting of three lights and the one above the door having two lights. All openings have cambered brick heads, although the attic windows have timber lintels. The eaves are decorated with a nogged cornice.
The mill building is a 19th-century refronting of an earlier brick structure. It is also made of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. This tall, two-storey building features a series of five full-height brick pilaster buttresses. There are two renewed windows on the ground floor and a new door to the right, which is situated beneath a timber projecting gabled loading bay. The gable wall has renewed casement windows with cambered heads. Additionally, there is an early 20th-century two-storey addition to the house at the rear.
