Description

Rose Cottage is a late 16th or early 17th century cottage located on the north side of Brook Street in Wymeswold. The building is timber framed with brick infill, and externally exhibits much of the original timber structure, including the wall plate, corner posts, arch braces, ends of cross-ceiling and 1st floor beams, and gable trusses. The roof is thatched. The cottage has one and a half storeys. The ground floor features two casement windows on the left side, followed by the doorway, then a further window with a small opening above. A dormer window is positioned to the left of the facade. Gable end stacks are present.
