Description

No. 108 on Brook Street is a house dating from the very early 18th century. It is constructed of brick featuring a red and blue chequer-work pattern and has a projecting string course, set on a granite rubble plinth. The rear wall is made of granite rubble and appears to belong to an even earlier building. The house has a modern tiled roof and stands two storeys high with an attic. It has a two-unit plan with a door located to the left of the front elevation in a plain opening. The windows have flat brick heads, and all but one, which is a three-light casement, are boarded over. There is also a small blocked window in the center of the front. The gable is coped, and there is an axial stack. The gable wall features some diaper work.
