Description

No. 58 Brook Street is a cottage, likely from the 18th century or earlier. It features stretcher bond brickwork set on a high rubble plinth, with some slight timbering visible in the gables. The cottage has a thatched roof and is 1½ storeys tall, designed with a two-unit plan. To the left, there is a single-storey range that includes a door and a possible 19th-century shop window, which is an 8-light casement. The ground floor has two windows with steep segmental arched heads, and there are two dormers, all of which are horizontal sliding sashes. The right gable has a coped design that rises well above the eaves line, and there are axial and right-hand gable stacks.
