Description
Nos. 109 and 111 on Meeting Street are two houses that date back to the 18th century. They are constructed from granite rubble stone, which is colourwashed on the front, featuring a plinth and a brick band. The buildings have a Swithland slate roof with brick stacks projecting from the right end and rear.
The structure has two storeys and includes three windows. The leftmost window on both floors is a three-light casement, while the other windows consist of a mix of three-light and two-light casements, with top-opening windows above. There is a part-glazed door from the 20th century to the right. A lean-to is present on the left end, and there are blocked openings along with a 20th-century window on the right end.
Historically, this building served as the original Baptist meeting house before the current chapel was constructed across the street.
