Description
Outwoods Farmyard Buildings consist of three ranges built in the early to mid-19th century. The southern range is a canted stable, with the east end constructed of brick and the west end made of Charnwood granite featuring brick dressings, topped with a Swithland slate roof. It has three cambered-headed recessed entrances. To the west is a granary made of Charnwood granite with brick dressings and a Swithland slate roof, which is two stories high and has three cambered-headed doorways along with five circular ventilators, all of which are now blocked. Inside, there is a reed and plaster floor. The northern range is a barn also made of Charnwood granite with brick dressings, which includes a later brick extension to the west and a Swithland slate roof. This barn features rectangular ventilators, some of which are blocked, and its roof has three bays supported by tie beam trusses with angle struts. The buildings form a group with Outwoods Farmhouse.
