Description
Burleigh Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that features a timber-framed structure with white painted brick infill, set on a brick plinth. An early to mid-19th century brick outshut, also painted white, extends to the south. The roofs are covered with Swithland slate, hipped over the 19th-century section. The original house has a brick ridge stack, while the 19th-century part has twin stacks set diagonally in the hip of its roof. The farmhouse is two stories high.
On the north facade, the windows are mostly horizontally-sliding sash windows with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century door that is not in its original position. The south facade features a three-bay arrangement with the central bay gabled and slightly projecting, deep bracketed eaves, and horizontally-sliding sash windows with hoodmoulds above. The central door on this facade is also from the 20th century.
