Description

The lodge to Garendon Park was built in the 1840s by William Railton. It is constructed of white brick with red sandstone dressings and features a fishscale slate roof. The building is designed in a "Tudor Gothic" style and stands two storeys tall. On the right side, there is a gabled projection that includes a three-light rectangular window with mullions, a transom, and glazing bars, all beneath a hoodmould on the ground floor, and a similar two-light window on the first floor. The left side features a gabled porch with an arched entrance and a shield of arms positioned above it. The brick stacks are diagonally set and have been rebuilt.
