Description

The Elms is an early 19th-century house located on Dovecote Street, Hathern. It is constructed of red brick with a 20th-century concrete tile roof. The house is two storeys high and double-fronted, with a central section slightly projecting and topped with a pediment. The pediment contains a cornice with flat brackets in the frieze and a blocking course. The central doorway is open-pedimented, with pilasters and a radiating fanlight above a six-panel door. The windows are 12-pane sashes with rubbed brick heads.
