Description
Stenson House is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Stenson Lane in the parish of Twyford and Stenson. It is constructed of red brick and ashlar, featuring a hipped Welsh slate roof with twin gables on the north side. The house has ashlar gable stacks and two ridge stacks, along with a heavy moulded cornice and a plain band at the first floor level.
The south elevation is symmetrical with three bays and is faced with ashlar. The central doorway has a plain stone doorcase with a shallow hoodmould, and it features a panelled door with a rectangular overlight. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows, each set under keyed wedge stone lintels. The upper floor has three similar windows.
The east elevation is made of red brick with stone quoins and a stringcourse, and it has two similar windows on each floor. The west elevation features casement windows under wedge stone lintels.
