Description
The winter garden at Pastures Hospital, built in the late 19th century, is a freestanding structure located 30 meters southwest of the church. It is constructed of brick and features a glazed timber and iron superstructure. The building measures 10 by 4 bays and includes a basement that houses a boiler room, which has a truncated square chimney stack at the southeast corner. The garden is characterized by cross-mullion glazing with glazing bars and stained glass toplights, as well as glazed double doors at the north end. The roof is fully glazed and hipped, with a hipped clerestorey and wooden finials. Inside, the winter garden boasts scrolled wrought iron roof trusses and original cast iron staging on all sides.
