Description
The gazebo located to the south-east of Hallowes Golf Clubhouse dates from the mid-17th century. It is constructed from coursed coal measures sandstone with ashlar dressings, featuring quoins and a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is shallow pyramidal, covered with stone slates and topped with an apex ball finial. The west elevation includes a central doorway with a quoined surround and a chamfered lintel, leading to a plain plank door. There is a tapering flight of four stone steps. The north wall has an oculus with a moulded surround, while the south wall contains a window opening.
