Description

Spring Cottage is a house, originally three cottages, dating from the mid to late 18th century and restored in the 1960s. It is built of squared coursed sandstone and features a slate roof with gable chimneys. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the right-hand bay said to have formerly been three storeys high. Most of the windows, except for the second bay, are two-light windows with flush mullions and timber casements that include glazing bars. The second bay features one-light windows with stone surrounds; the ground-floor window in this bay is offset to the right of a doorway that has a quoined surround. There is also a second similar doorway located between the third and fourth bays.
