PARISH OF ECKINGTON RENISHAW PARK Garden fountain 40 metres south-west of Renishaw Hall

Garden fountain. C18? Ornate 3-tier fountain stem set within a moulded circular basin. Veronese marble. Bell-shaped base to stem, with projecting rim carrying four mask spouts. Above, a chalice stem for a mushroom-cap second tier incorporating four grotesque mask spouts. Surmounting the second tier, a small fruit-laden urn, one of a pair of fountains in the upper garden level at Renishaw Hall. See also item 105B.
