Description

The village pound located to the south of the Miners Arms dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is a rectangular enclosure made of coursed rubble gritstone, featuring triangular copings. The pound is defined by two massive gatepiers that mark a central entry, which includes a railed iron gate. The structure was restored in 1977.
