Description
Darley Station Houses, built around 1849 by Joseph Paxton, were originally a pair of houses that have since been converted into one dwelling. The building is constructed of stone and has two storeys with a plain gable. On the ground floor, there are two windows with semi-circular heads and a blocked doorway in between. The south side features four windows fitted with modern casements and four lower windows with semi-circular heads, including two central lights. The eaves are plain and bold, and there are stone stacks on the roof covered with slates. This building, along with the Darleydale Station located on the north platform, forms a group of significant structures.
