Description
The Grove is an early 19th-century house located on Kniveton Lane in the parish of Offcote and Underwood. The building is cement rendered with a plain tiled hipped roof that is set behind parapets, featuring three brick ridge stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a rectangular plan with polygonal ends and a canted bay on the south side.
The south elevation consists of seven bays, with a central canted bay that has three tall ground floor windows with small panes; the middle window includes French doors. On either side of this bay are glazing bar sash windows, with the left window being wider. Above, there are five additional glazing bar sash windows. The end bays feature pointed windows with arches that have straight shanks and also contain glazing bar sashes. The polygonal west end of the house is castellated.
