Description

Longford Grange is a red-brick rectory, dating from 1820, and enlarged in 1840, with minor alterations made in 1843. The building has brick dressings, stone sills, a hipped slate roof with wide overhanging eaves, and brick ridge stacks. The west front, facing the main approach, has four bays by three bays. A reeded, semi-circular doorcase with raised moulded impost blocks frames double-glazed panelled doors, which are set in a slightly projecting bay. Below a single sash window, and above, four shallower sashes feature. The south elevation contains three similar sash windows on both the ground and first floors, each set within a blind recess. Inside, a basket-headed arch is found in the hall, and a curving stick baluster staircase is lit by a ceiling light.
