Description
Alison House is a building dating from around 1800, constructed from ashlar. It stands two storeys high and features two sash windows, with one blocked window on the left-hand side both above and below. The entrance has a plain pilaster doorcase with an entablature and a slight cornice hood, along with a decorative band. The east elevation facing the garden includes four sash windows. The house has stone stacks and a hipped slate roof. It was built by the Arkwright family as a dower house for the Old Rectory.
