Description
Frank Wright's Corn and Provender Mill, built in 1852, was originally the railway engine house and goods shed. A later corn mill has been constructed in front of part of the southeast facade. The building is made of white sandstone and features a slate roof, a coped gabled end, and a stone chimney.
It is a single-storey structure with two entrances that have large wooden canopies supported on brackets. In addition to these two bays, there are ten bays with recessed panels between plain pilasters, each topped with a corbelled cornice. The central four bays have a blind archivolt with a keystone and ledge. There is a door of a similar design at the southwest end. The windows on the northwest elevation have cast iron glazing bars with margin lights, and some remnants of the original translucent glass remain.
