Description
Stone Cottages is a terrace of three cottages built in the late 1840s by Stevens of Derby. The cottages are constructed from coursed squared rock-faced limestone with sandstone dressings and feature plain tile roofs topped with three large stone chimneys. They are single storey with attics and have an east elevation that consists of four symmetrical bays. The central two bays are gabled and set forward, showcasing two 3-light chamfered mullion windows on the ground floor and two 2-light windows above. The gabled bays on the left and right are set back and include a tall arrow slit window on the ground floor and a 2-light chamfered mullion window above. The outer bays each have a 3-light chamfered mullion window on the ground floor.
