Description

Dove Bridge, built in 1756, spans the River Dove along Derby Road. The bridge features two original 14th-century pointed arches with chamfered arch rings, alongside two later rebuilt semi-circular arches that have small projecting keyblocks. The stone parapet is dated 1691, likely marking the date of a previous rebuilding. The structure is supported by massive cut waters with recesses above.
