Description

The footbridge at Cromford Station, dating from around 1860 and attributed to G H Stakes, is an iron structure featuring an elliptical arch. It has ashlar steps at both ends and iron lattice parapets supported by ornamental scrolls. Originally, there were scrolled gas lamps at each end of the bridge. This footbridge is part of a group that includes the main building of Cromford Station, a building on the east platform, and the Station Master's House.
